Only found in the Dominican Republic and mined only by hand - in a very difficult area to access- Larimar is considered to be among the rarest gemstones in the world. Psychic Edgar Cayce (1877 - 1945). predicted that on one of the Caribbean islands a blue stone would be found with extraordinary healing attributes and it is believed that Larimar is the stone that Cayce was speaking of.
