Incredible and super rare Collawood gemstone necklace! Beautiful colours - soft, turquoise bluish green and gray - it is a earthy and unique with its mixture of minerals ! Collawood is a rare type of petrified wood - having formed formed millions of years ago from trees which fell in soil rich with copper bearing minerals. Over time, the minerals formed into veins of Chrysocolla, Malachite, Cuprite, and Azurite which replaced some of the organic material in the wood as it petrified. Amazing find from Turkey.
